Short profile:
We aim to make learning fun and relevant so we offer a broad range of additional opportunities for our pupils, we aim to deliver these to enrich our curriculum. Each year group produces a performnce for their parents over the year.
Detailed description:
The curriculum is enriched through visits to a variety of places and visitors to school such as the Think Tank & Avoncroft which provide the children with valuable learning experiences.
We have a school council, a gardening club and numerous other extra curricular activities for all ages, these take place before and after school. We have a Forest School which allows children to experience creativity in a woodland setting
Year 4 pupils complete their final year with a residential trip, a final performance to parents and basic First Aid Training. They have also acted as tour guides to new parents and at our open evenings.
This year our school choir took part in the Redditch Schoold music festival and we were once again invited to sing outside the Town Hall at christmas.
This year we gained funding to start the Wake Up Shake Up club which provides breakfast for children who benefit from a calmer start to the school day.
This year we started a Chinese Club and Mandarin Club which were both over susbscribed.
