All our practitioners are trained to professional standards and receive ongoing support, supervision and training. Marriage Care's counsellors are unpaid professionals who have undergone rigorous training and receive on-going supervision and in-service training. This ensures that they are open to work on a non-judgmental basis with clients from all sections of the community.

Marriage Care counsellors do not take notes or make tape recordings during a counselling session. Where a counsellor makes case notes following a session, these contain essential information only, to standards of professional practice. Records are marked by reference numbers and identifying information such as names are changed or omitted.
