Marquis Motorhomes was established in 1973 and now has 9 branches nationwide. Enjoying over 38 years in the industry, Marquis has expanded over the decades to become the largest multi site dealership in the UK. In 2000, Marquis Lancashire re-located to new premises in Preston Docklands, which marked the start of 'Marquis Super Sites', a one-stop shop solution for the motorhome owner.

Detailed description:

Following a recent Management Buy Out, Marquis are now privately owned together with Auto-Sleepers Ltd and form the Auto-Sleepers Group. The retail and manufacturing divisions work closely together to bring some of the best motorhomes to the UK market.

As Marquis has grown so has its immense buying power, and this means that Marquis can purchase and sell vehicles at unbeatable prices. The ability to buy in bulk has been the cornerstone in the development of Marquis' award winning, exclusive special edition ranges. Whilst being big has its benefits, Marquis is dedicated to continuing the excellent levels of personal service, which the company has become famous for.

2010 saw the introduction of Marquis Caravans and now three Marquis outlets offer caravan sales, including Marquis Northants, Marquis Lancashire and Marquis Sussex.

Every used caravan will come with an industry leading `CaraMarq` warranty, to match the Marquis Group’s extensive cover offered on motorhomes. The ‘CaraMarq’ warranty will be included on all caravans sold and promises comprehensive cover and peace of mind.

    The sales staff at Marquis are brilliant, we got the motorhome we wanted at the right price. from then on things went downhill. On collection we were informed that the electric step had been damaged and a new one was on order. ONE YEAR later we are still waiting. You might not think this is much of a problem but the Mobilvetta P81 is fitted with a sensor that sounds a piercing alarm and flashes a red light on the dashboard if the step is not fully retracted. You try driving with that all the time. Marquis offered to disconect the alarm but warned me this would invalidate the warranty and possibly my insurance, not a good idea. apparently the problem is that Mobilvetta Italy do not keep spares for this vehicle they are made to order. As the order book is currentl full, they have no time to make me a new step. So to sum up, great sales team, appaling aftercare.

    • Clive Godbold: I have a SEA motorhome which I believe is made in same factory as Mobilvetta. Spares from Italy will take forever.I suggest immobilising step in retracted position and use a portable step. With future problems try sourcing spares from UK suppliers.Most caravan parts are universally available. Enjoy your motorhoming.
