Short profile:
The school provides the children with a full range of extra-curricular sporting activities, including: basketball, girls’ football, cricket, netball, boys’ football and athletics. This is in addition to the two hours’ P.E. the children have during curriculum time.
There is a range of musical opportunities, including peripatetic instrumental tuition and a choir; there are performances by the choir and individual pupil instrumentalists at the end of the Christmas and summer terms. The school has whole school ‘singalongs’ at the end of most half terms, culminating in the summer singalong in the First School playground at the end of the summer term, to which parents are invited. This event includes Bollywood dancing; this is an opportunity for the children who go to the Bollywood Dancing club to showcase their talents.
The school has an Arts Week. There is a Gardening Club for a small group of children, as well as: a chess club, an art club, a Performance Club and After School and Breakfast clubs.
There is an expectation that each year group will organise three off-site visits per year.
There are residential visits to France for Years 6 and 7 and London-based activities for those children who do not go.
