Many say it's a place where time has stood still, yet it is just 15 minutes from the M1, and only 2 miles from Matlock. Dethick lies within the curtilage of the Derwent Valley World Heritage site at Cromford and is a short drive to the nearby towns of Bakewell and Ashbourne.

Matlock is at the gateway to the Derbyshire Dales and the Peak District National Park, an ideal touring base. Chatsworth House, Hardwick Hall, Haddon Hall and many places of historical interest and other popular attractions are close by. Derbyshire is one of the country's most visited destinations for walkers and ramblers, boasting miles of walking terrain to suit every level or ability. There are wonderful walks directly from the Manor Farmhouse in the beautiful area surrounding Matlock, Riber, Cromford and beyond The Manor Farmhouse offers its bed and breakfast guests a high standard of comfortable accommodation with big comfortable beds, delicious breakfasts and many facilities. It's relaxed and informal. Huge stone walls, exposed beams and timbers add to the charm and character of this wonderful house.

Breakfast is served in the original Tudor kitchen, using home produce and the finest local and organic ingredients. In addition to our Farmhouse Breakfast we offer a wide choice of alternatives, vegetarian options and cater for all diets. Five charming bedrooms, all ensuite, including family accommodation and ground floor/disabled access - all with wonderful views, televisions, tea/coffee trays, wi fi etc. Lots of information to browse, plus maps, books, games etc. Guests are welcome to use the garden with its panoramic views across the valley.

We also have a ""user/family friendly" farm walk enabling visitors to look at livestock and environmental features on our farm. A seven minute walk through our front field will take you to the local hostelry -The Jug and Glass, which was Florence Nightingale 's first hospital. Lots of other good pubs and restaurants within a few minutes drive. Matlock has Indian, Thai and Chinese restaurants. Table reservations are recommended at weekends and other busy times
