Established in 1896 Maidenhead Golf Club is a mature course set in lovely rolling parkland where you can glimpse deer in the early morning and enjoy the peace and tranquility of a round of golf in this picturesque part of Berkshire. The course is a hidden gem in the heart of Maidenhead with watered fairways and excellent greens. While the layout provides an easy walk, it is a good test of golf requiring both course management and skill to complete successfully.
The club's proximity to the town provides very easy access from the station, which is no more than a five minute walk away, or by road, with the A4, M4 and M40 all passing nearby. Despite this, once you are on the course, you could be in the middle of rural England.
We have an active membership and welcome both visitors and societies - come along and see for yourself.
MGC welcomes societies and corporate groups throughout the year. Society days are Mondays, Tuesday afternoons, Wednesdays and Thursdays. No matter what size your group is, we can guarantee a great day out. An offer of 18, 27 or 36 holes of golf on a beautifully maintained course, with great food and excellent facilities all go to ensure that everyone will have a memorable day. We have an extensive menu, a 120 seat function room and our society organiser, Carolynn Callan, will be happy to help tailor your golf day to your requirements. Visitors are welcome who possess a current handicap and can produce a handicap certificate upon registration.
If a handicap certificate cannot be presented, the club reserve the right to ask any player or players to leave the course if they do not adhere to the etiquette as detailed in the Rules of Golf or to the club’s rules and dress code. In the event this action is necessary, the player or players will not be entitled to a refund and must vacate the golf course immediately. Our restaurant can comfortably seat up to 120 for dinner for weddings, conferences and other events. We have a dance floor and PA system and can offer you a wide variety of catering options from buffet to full meal menus. The restaurant area can easily be partitioned off with independent access to the bar giving you total privacy if you wish.
We have a list of florists, party goods providers, local DJs and taxi firms to help you make your function a total success. We have two meeting rooms: The Restaurant area can be transformed into an auditorium, with PA system, comfortably seating up to 140 people. The Desborough room is smaller and can accommodate any size group up to 25 seated either around tables or up to 50 when arranged auditorium style. This room is furnished with wireless internet access. Both rooms are fitted out with flip charts, note pads and pens.
