MAIDENHEAD AQUATICS - BARNSTAPLE

Situated on the East side of Barnstaple with easy links to the A361 and A39, this store can be conveniently accessed from the nearby Tesco car park or the ample parking right outside the front door within the garden centre car park.

As part of our recent expansion into the West Country, this store has many design features lacking in older stores such as a 2,300 litre /515 gallon reservoir designed to provide luxury accommodation for Geoff, the resident Giraffe Catfish. Large stock tanks are also provided for Discus and other more demanding species that thrive in the local softwater conditions. A good range of Rift-lake cichlids are available here, alongside a comprehensive selection of community fishes and fancy goldfish. Marines are well represented here and invertebrates can be selected from a very attractive reef-style display, although this store still caters for those who prefer the more destructive characters such as Triggerfishes.

Outside, a modestly sized pond section houses Koi and a selection of pond fish together with pond plants and watergardening sundries such as pre-formed pools and pond liner. A good range of dry goods, tanks and cabinets can be found inside, with marine and planted aquarium enthusiasts being particularly well provided for.
