Detailed description:
Easily accessed just off J23 of the M60, Ashton-under-Lyne is one of the newest members of the Maidenhead Aquatics family. Opening at the end of July 2009 with 24 marine aquaria, 12 goldfish aquaria and over 100 tanks for tropical fish we cover all of the most popular fish that you can have in an aquarium plus some more. The centre piece of the store would have to be the 5500 litre display aquarium. While we were installing the aquarium lots of ideas were put forward for what could go into it. We quickly decided on using the aquarium to re-home tank buster fish. Fish that get far larger than most hobbyists could house.
Currently under construction and to be completed by the end of February 2010 is our pond department. Once completed it will have a Coldwater system housing a great selection of Comets, Shubukins and Sarasa Comets. It will also hold other firm favourites such as Tench, Orfe and Ghost Koi. The Koi System will hold Hardy English bred koi as well as good quality Japanese Koi. Our pond dry goods selection will allow you to set up a pond from scratch or provide you with all you need to maintain you existing pond.
