Great Dental Practice!
Samantha WI have been going to this dental practice for around 25 years now and I have always, even on the busiest of days, received nothing other than top service. I was shocked to read the 1 star rating review, especially as it didn't mention once the actual DENTISTRY they received- i'm going to have guess that is because it was top notch and they just can't stand to do anything other than moan. I sometimes think that people look at going to the dentist as a 'trip out' and don't realise that in order for the practice to keep seeing all of us on the NHS they need to work quickly and efficiently, but feel upset and as though they have been 'rushed' when the dentists politely decline to hear about their recent trip to Scotland etc etc. Mr Jolly was my dentist for the first 20 odd years however as he no longer works on a friday I have been seeing Mr Gacesa. Both of these dentists are fantastic. Mr Jolly is one of the most talented dentists i have come across and a lot of other patients and other local dentists speak very highly of him, which I always think says a lot about a professional. I have to say, i laughed out loud at the one star review when they claimed they were 'always afraid of the dentist as a kid' and blames Mr Jolly's behaviour for this. I think that will be more because as a kid any medical setting is scary, with all the unusual smells and noises. I think 90% of kids are scared of the dentist at one point or another, it was a rather ridiculous comment. Finally, I think the fact that the review said that their neighbour 'put up with Mr Jolly's attitude because he is a good dentist' sums up how petty that review is, nobody goes to the dentist to have a good chat and a cuddle, they go to be in the most reliable hands and have the best dentistry done, and you need look no further than Mr Jolly, who is not only a top dentist but will also complete your treatment very politely, and succinctly. It is a shame that this is no longer deemed sufficient.

fisher i have been goint to this dentist for nearly thirty years,i have a real phobia agains dentist and would not go back here if i felt anything other than comfertable,you all do a great job

Katie LMr jolly is an extremely talented dentist who strives to make his patients feel at ease and welcome. He always does the job to the best standard and also quickly with the least amount of pain and discomfort possible. I would recommend him and his dental practice time and time again, I am both shocked and irritated by some of the negative comments written on here as he doesn't deserve to have his name blackened under false accusations.

BeaAI agree about Dr Jolly's attitude. I saw Dr Gacesa a couple of times and was very pleased but then had the misfortune of being seen by Dr Jolly. I would never see him again, he makes you feel small and unimportant, he rushed me, I didn't know what was going on, he kept talking to his assistant and wasn't really explaining what he was doing. I have to go back but will ask for Dr Gacesa. I have heard of other people leaving the practice because of Dr Jolly. It seems he's always like this, he's my neighbour's dentist and she says she ignores his attitude and looks beyond it because he's a good dentist!

D de SylvaI was shocked to read the one star rating, I and my family have belonged to the practice for almost 30 yrs and all love it !We have never received anything less than friendly service.

Mr. T Jagger-WalkerTom (Dentist) and Mr. Jolly (Senior dentist) are very professional. Tom especially (as he is my dentist) is always curtious and helpful.The reception and Dental Nursing staff are also very attentive. Would recomend this Practice. Keep up the excellent customer service and thank you. Terry

PrestonI have visited this dental surgery since i was a child, throughout my childhood i was always scared of coming to the dentist. I think the atmosphere and attitude of the staff contributed to this massivley. The last time i went just over a year ago i told myself i would never go again. Mr Jolly is a grumpy old man, with zero customer service skills, and does not help with peoples nerves. He made me feel small and embarrased. This wasn't helped by the receptionist and dental nurses whom also passed comment about my treatment when they thought i was out of ear shot. The only reason i stayed with them so long was because my whole family went to the surgery but now are all moving to different helpful, and friendly surgeries. I have now joined dr Robinson at New Hal Lane surgery, whom is nothing but helpful and i actually enjoy visiting the surgery now as i always come away feeling better. I have given the surgery 1 star and that only because you have to leave a star to write a review otherwise it would get nothing.
