Self-catering holidays are becoming more and more popular year by year as people discover the freedom and real economy of them. At Low Briery Holiday Village we cater for a variety of holidaymakers by offering a selection of different properties to meet your holiday requirements.
The area is rich in rare wildlife with 'resident' red squirrels and overhead buzzards being the star attractions.
Low Briery Village is on the eastern outskirts of Keswick and only about 1 mile from the centre of this popular Lake District market town.
The village is not large. We have a total of 50 letting units in all. Our aim is to provide quality accommodation in a very quiet and beautiful riverside location. You can feel confident that your holiday with us will be relaxing and peaceful.
Low Briery nestles in a wooded valley, with the River Greta running alongside. There is a footpath into town for those who prefer to leave the car.
Detailed description:
All accommodation at Low Briery is of a high standard and cleanliness is a priority. The Visit Britain Tourist Council has recently awarded us a '4 Star rating' for which we are very proud.
We have a selection of 2- and 3-bedroomed traditional cottages at Low Briery. All are decorated and furnished to the highest of standards. Kitchens and bathrooms are fully fitted and are spotlessly clean. The cottages are centrally heated and have colour TV. Bed linen is provided at no extra cost (please bring towels) and prices include all gas and electricity.
We have 6 spacious, very comfortable apartments at Low Briery. All are 2-bedroomed (1 double, 1 twin-bedded) with excellent kitchens and bathrooms. The apartments are very comfortably furnished and decorated and are always kept meticulously clean. All have colour TV and all bed linen, gas and electricity is included at no extra cost. (Please bring towels.) The apartments are centrally heated throughout. Two apartments are located on the ground floor, making them suitable for those with walking difficulties. All the apartments have balconies overlooking the river. (Possible extra beds - 1 put-u-up or 1 cot.)
Our timber-faced lodges are superbly sited right on the bank of the River Greta. Lounges have sliding patio doors onto the bank and the view down the river and the friendly (and ever hungry) ducks make the location idyllic. Lodges have their own private patio with furniture. The lodges are two-bedroomed (1 double, 1 twin). Kitchens are fully fitted and lounge areas have colour TV. The lodges have shower room (not bath) and all gas and electric is included. All bed linen is provided; please bring your own towels. (Possible extra beds - 1 cot.)
Our timber-built Canadian Cabins have two bedrooms. One double bedded room and one with full sized bunk beds.
There is a lovely shower room with toilet and basin.
