Since 1983, Loughborough Projects has specialised in the design and manufacture of electronic systems to assist the safer operation of materials handling vehicles and equipment. We supply systems for load moment indication, angular indication and overload limiting, for fitting as original equipment, to leading manufacturers in the EU and other markets.
Each of our systems offers a range of options for sensor and display features. We undertake application engineering to ensure that the systems we supply to you are optimised to meet your requirements.
In addition we can design and manufacture custom engineered systems and equipment to meet highly specific needs.
All products manufactured by Loughborough Projects meet the highest standards of integrity, robustness and performance. They are CE certified and comply with all relevant international standards.
Detailed description:
Loughborough Projects gained approval to ISO9001 for its quality management system in 1988. The scope of our approval covers the design and manufacture of electronic and electromechanical instruments, and now includes TickIT approval for software development.
We have our own in-house EMC test facilities for immunity and emissions, to ensure compliance with EU, other international, and customer standards. .
Our product development is supported by a full range of electronic and mechanical test equipment. This includes a 20 ton capacity axle test rig which is available for preliminary application testing of customer supplied axles, to identify the most suitable site for transducer installation.
All of our products undergo extensive testing during development. Products are then continuously monitored during manufacture to ensure that they meet the design parameters.
Loughborough Projects design engineers provide an application engineering service to ensure the optimum performance of our systems when fitted to your vehicle or equipment. This includes both on site evaluation work and in house testing and development.
As well as improving and extending the capabilities of existing products and systems, Loughborough Projects design engineers undertake prototype development for our customers. Working to a design brief and specification, or in conjunction with your own engineering staff, we will create new products for eventual manufacture.
We can also use the skills of our staff and our extensive test equipment to undertake investigation projects both in house and on site, particularly where this requires strain gauge application and measurement.
