Short profile:

The College provides opportunities to broaden the experiences of all our students.  Our aim is that all students participate in at least one type of activity beyond the classroom.Sports, learning and extension activities take place at lunchtimes and after College on all Tuesdays and Thursdays. All curriculum areas in the College provide learning extensions and/or clubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays which include:. coursework clubs. revision clubs.

gifted and talented opportunities. extension learning. team and individual sports Students have a chance to go on trips and visits either as part of the curriculum (e.g. poetry, theatre or university lecture trips) or more broadly.

A number of residential trips take place:- Design trips to Barcelona and the USA- Health and Social Studies in the Gambia- Performing Arts Study in France- English in New York- Ski trips to Europe - 'Outward Bound' activities Our staff are keen to respond to student's own ideas for activitiesThere are regular high quality Arts and Sports Activities which involve large numbers of students through the year: concerts, plays and musicals are regularly produced and school teams are run in the following sports: fencing, basketball, badminton, rugby, football and netball.
