Mission Statement:

Our primary purpose is to enhance children’s quality of learning by the effective and efficient delivery of the curriculum and to strive to continually improve every aspect of the school.

We believe in the value of small classes and the development of the individual. We place importance on high standards of behaviour, self-discipline and mutual respect.

As a small school, we are able to provide a happy, caring environment, which enhances personal confidence. With a commitment to inclusion we foster team spirit and encourage a sense of self-worth and pride in the school.

Whilst recognising the importance of academic success, we provide for wider achievements in music drama, sport, art and other school-initiated activities, such as the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme and Community Service.

Working as a constructive partnership with consistently high expectations, we help pupils to develop the skills and acquire the knowledge to obtain the best possible examination results and to participate in our rapidly-changing society.

We are a small school with a strong family and community atmosphere, providing important opportunities for our students to develop as bright, confident and skilled young people, ready for all the challenges of modern life.

As a non-selective school, we welcome students with a wide range of abilities and backgrounds. Small classes and tutorial groups allow us to give them the individual attention they need to flourish and achieve their full potential. We believe that our young people need and appreciate clear objectives.
