Detailed description:
The school has embraced the principles of Excellence and Enjoyment and provides a curriculum which makes clear links between subjects underpinned by numeracy, literacy and ICT skills.
The curriculum follows a topic based approach and comprises the National Curriculum Core Subjects: English, Mathematics, Religious Education, Information Communication Technology and Science.
In addition, there are several non-core subjects: Design and Technology, History, Geography, Music, Art and Design, Physical Education and Personal, Social and Health Education (including Citizenship). French is taught in the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
We follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum for pupils in the reception classes.
The school offers several clubs which operate either during the lunch break or after school. Extra curricular clubs can be seasonal and/or only open to specific year groups. They are reviewed annually depending on availability of suitable qualified staff. A list of clubs is available to parents on request.
