At LHC Architecture we strive to design and deliver buildings that work, that are functional, sustainable and practical - but which are also striking and beautiful. All of our studios offer intelligent design solutions coupled with commercial viability. Our architectural design approach responds to context and brief rather than repeating a house-style, and keeps the end-user at the heart of the process. We’re a team with the experience and skills to realise the potential of a site, and to design with creativity and inspiration, without forgetting the practicalities of buildability, timescale and budget. We work in the South West and across the UK on a huge variety of projects; always in a spirit of trust and mutual respect with clients and partners; always aiming to deliver the extraordinary.

LHC Urbanism is a highly experienced design team driven by dynamic and enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about their areas of expertise. Our work spans all aspects of the design and planning process from visioning through to construction. Our team includes qualified urban designers, planners, landscape architects and architects. We approach every project by considering the wider context in terms of social, environmental and economic constraints and opportunities. As a result we have considerable expertise in looking at the wider contextual issues when considering specific sites and developing new solutions to familiar problems. Our team of experienced CDM Co-ordinators use all their skills and expertise to help you ensure project safety, and to comply with those all-important CDM Regulations, which now integrate health & safety into the management of almost any construction project from the earliest stages. Formed in 1995, LHC Safety advise clients on the appointment of skilled designers and contractors; ensure proper co-ordination of the health & safety aspects of the design process; facilitate good communication and co-operation between project team members; and finally, co-ordinate the preparation of the Health and Safety File. Throughout the process we aim to keep a sense of proportion and to limit the amount of paperwork and bureaucracy. The strength of LHC is our people. Not their singing, but their expertise, experience and passion. As we have grown, we have attracted highly talented and capable people. This means that whatever challenge a project might throw up, we can pull together a coherent and dynamic group of individuals, with the relevant skills to handle it. In addition to urban designers, architects, technologists and landscape architects we have strong in-house support in other areas, such as environmental design, access consultancy, interior design, graphics, marketing, architectural illustration and CDM Co-ordination.
