Le Maitre's pyrotechnic specialists are available to deal with every aspect of an indoor (West End shows, TV, film, etc.) or outdoor event, from a wedding or a corporate event to the complete logistics of an international rock 'n' roll tour (Rolling Stones, Take That, Britney Spears, etc.).
We are responsible for some of the most spectacular and prestigious displays ever staged, at world famous venues including Buckingham Palace, Edinburgh Castle, Tower Bridge, Harrods, Wembley Stadium and Hyde Park. We have fired shows all over the world, utilising our extensive international distribution network and comprehensive service.

Le Maitre has been manufacturing stage pyrotechnics and smoke and haze machines since 1976. The company consists of the pyrotechnic factory in Peterborough, the Head Office in Mitcham and a Sales Office in Austin, Texas, USA. The Mitcham factory produces our range of smoke machines, dry ice machines, hazers and pyrotechnic controllers. Our Peterborough factory produces the world famous range of PyroFlash cartridges and the ProStage II range of professional stage pyrotechnics.
Le Maitre manufactures two ranges of pyrotechnics. The first range is PyroFlash. This is the system with plug-in cartridges. The PyroFlash system is simple Plug and Play system for semi-pro users. The second range is ProStage II. ProStage II is our professional range of pyrotechnics. ProStage II pyrotechnics do not plug-into our PyroFlash pods; instead the effects have wires for connecting to pyro circuits. Often ProStage II pyrotechnics are smaller, better and cheaper than PyroFlash pyro. This is because the new effects were developed using modern day techniques. There are also less components used in the manufacture of ProStage II pyrotechnics.
ProStage II Flames have been used on productions such as The Phantom of the Opera, and huge tours like the Rolling Stones.
More recently seen on the Slipknot Tour and at the Harry Potter premiere, the effect is stunning and it produces a tiny amount of smoke with no fallout. The Virtually Smokeless - VS Flames and Flares are new additions to the Le Maitre range, with the smokeless effect ensuring the full flame and flare effects display maximum impact.
The ProStage II Stage Mine propels a fantastic shower of shimmering stars in the chosen colour.
