As members of the Construction Industry Training Board, the Stone Federation and the Society for the Protection of Ancient Buildings, Lambert Walker has access to a wealth of support on issues such as training and health and safety. Both John and Adrian acknowledge the importance of being given the opportunity as young men to become apprentices in their respective crafts and they are now committed to providing similar opportunities to other young people, as they strive to pass on their skills and experience to future generations. To this end Lambert Walker currently have several apprentices attending York College of Stone Masonry in conjunction with C.I.T.B.

Lambert Walker only employ craftsmen of the utmost quality; amongst our team are experienced stone masons, stone carvers, sculptors, historical pointers, joiners and plasterers all of whom are trained to the highest standards. All our staff are CSCS registered, and our skilled craftsmen were amongst the first in the country to receive the Heritage Skills CSCS Card, endorsed by English Heritage to recognise those who are most qualified to work on heritage property.

We have well-established relationships with trusted sub-contractors who work to the same high standards as ourselves, enabling us to work alongside them in complete confidence. Under the leadership of John and Adrian and with their unrivalled team of skilled craftsmen the company Lambert Walker has flourished in a relatively short period of time.
