We offer a number of services for the benefit of disabled people in Knowsley Briefly, these projects are an Information Service for disabled people, their carers and anyone who might have an interest in disability, for example, professionals or students. We are a member of DIAL (UK). Disability Information and Advice Line services is a national network of similar organisations providing support to each other. We operate two advocacy schemes. One is a self-advocacy scheme, the Knowsley Being Involved Group, for people with learning disabilities. The other is a Citizen Advocacy project, again for people with learning disabilities. We record and distribute the Knowsley Talking Newspaper for blind and visually impaired people in Knowsley.
We assist in the running of the Knowsley Access Group. This is a group established to consider access issues in respect of the buildings and information. We are an integral part of the Knowsley Disability Forum, which is a forum of like minded organisations and individuals in Knowsley.
