A full pack consists of:

A detailed set of illustrated route notes, complete with GPS waypoint co-ordinates (and OS grid references for non-GPS users); An accommodation guide that lists and gives details of all known providers of B&B accommodation on the route or trail (including hotels, pubs, farmhouses and guest houses). It also gives contact information for hostel and bunkhouse accommodation and campsites; A comprehensive information booklet (or Walkers' Companion) containing a wealth of practical information that will allow you to plan your route and make the most of the facilities available on the trail. This is also where you will find background information about the trail - places to see, getting there, public transport and taxis, baggage transfer services, tips on how to plan your route and more.

We've also walked extensively in County Mayo (Ireland); the Giffre Valley (French Alps - the valley that lies between Morzine and Chamonix); and the Nord - Pas de Calais area of northern France. Re-visiting these superb places is, it has to be admitted, a little more time-consuming than nipping out to somewhere in the Lakes, but we wouldn't rule it out!
