Short profile:
We offer a wide and extensive range of clubs and activities to children throughout the school. These include: sporting clubs such as football, dance, tag rugby, hockey, orienteering, netball, cricket, games skills and rounders; musical groups such as ocarina, recorder, guitar, keyboard, woodwind, strings and choir; art groups for three classes, drama and pottery and craft clubs as well as a Cookery Club, ICT Club and Animation Club for all the age groups.
All classes take part in visits to enrich the taught curriculum. Being so close to York City Centre enables us to take advantage of its rich and varied history and cultural opportunities. We also hold a termly Live Arts Week when the children have the opportunity to take part in workshops or see live performances.
The school has a strong drama tradition, with all the children taking part in annual productions. We are offering an increasing range of extended school activities in the evenings, held at the school for a small charge such as: kick boxing; Spanish; dance; French; art, chess, music technology and football.
