Detailed description:
We offer Spanish teaching for Key Stage 2 classes weekly. This language is then continued at our feeder secondary school, Wildern.
We provide an extensive range of after school and lunchtime clubs, including football, choir, dance, drama, sports club (summer), gardening, card making, Ceekers (Christian club after school), cycling proficiency and book club.
Year 6 take part in an annual residential visit to Stubbington and other year groups aim to offer a day visit or in school activity based on their topic each term. We make good use of our extensive grounds for learning.
Year 5 complete a swimming programme in the summer term.
All classes have two timetabled one hour sessions of outdoor Games and indoor PE/ Gymnastics/Dance weekly.
The school offers music teaching delivered by a qualified music teacher from the Hampshire Music Service weekly. Brass and guitar instrumental teaching is offered.
Key Stage 1 take part in a programme of dance development with Year 10 pupils from Wildern School, culminating in a performance to their parents at The Point, Eastleigh.
Social events are organised by the school's Parent Teacher Association, including discos, Summer and Winter Fayre.
