Alex young Kenwood did a job for me, could not have been worse! Hacked off the plaster without sheeting up straight on my new carpet. Got threats when i refused to pay the bill a guy called Gary said he will send the debt collectors in and remove goods. Called PCA they said its nothing to do with them.

RobWHugely rude and unproffessional. Trashed my house, my things, left house unsecure, disinterested in my complaints and the fact that whilst house was unsecure things had gone missing, steer clear, an absolute disgrace. Don't beleive 5 star reviews (funny how it's either 1 or 5 isn't it?) they are writing these themselves.

BobWAbsolutely terrible. messy, unproffessional, rude, incompetent, trashed house and have possessions damaged. They left the house unsecured and failed to show up on agreed dates.

David ClarksonDo not recommend this firm at all. They made numerous errors in our work - underquoted initially to get selected, split concrete over the drive, broke tiles, threw away critical things etc. Worse when we complained and asked to be made good on the costs incurred from their mistakes they refused to accept the evidence provided and were rude on the phone.

Sarah BGot them to dampproof my place in East London in 2004. A month later damp returned in one part. When the guy came out he tried to say it was my fault! I won't say how we "persuaded" them to return to do the work but they eventually did so very reluctantly. They failed to respond to repeated requests for a payment receipt and a guarantee certificate once the original job was done. I eventually gave up. Now, less than 10 years later the damp is prevalent throughout the areas they treated. I recently contacted them (for fun, expecting nothing) to claim against the guarantee. Will update as to how it goes but for starters they won't do anything it seems unless I pay 135 GBP for a "senior surveyor" to come out to look at the place.... Avoid these guys like the plague. The contractors they use seem like regular guys but I suspect they are given inferior materials/told to cut corners and once payment made the head office are at best ignoring, at worst plain rude and aggressive. I see from their website that they still have several minor celeb's testimonials. I very much doubt that any are genuine.

poor serviceThe damp returned to my property 3 years after kenwood damp-proofed the whole property. They sent an expert who told me that the walls below ground level should have been tanked. When I got their report back they said the work would not be fixed under guarentee and their was no mention of the walls needing to be tanked. I have complained to them but they ignore all complaints. Very dissappointed.

peter hKenwood first visited my property in 2007 to carry out some damp-proofing and to treat some dry rot. I chose kenwood as they were recommended by my estate agent and they seemed a large proffessional company. However after 4 years the dry rot has returned. Thinking I would be covered by their 25 year guarantee I called them back to redo the work. They sent somebody to have a look but was later told the guarantee would not cover work and I would need to pay again to have the work done. I was told the dry rot had returned because there was no airbricks. However I feel that kenwood should have installed airbricks when they did the work the first time round. I have tried to complain to them about this but they have blanked me. They don't reply to my letters or emails or return my phone calls. Dealing with this company has been very stressful and costly.

Molly41Kenwood damp-proofed our place for the previous owner in 1988, we called them back in January this year 2011 because a small area was damp.
They came round to inspect it and fixed it under guarantee. We certainly never expected such great service after nearly 23 years.
We would recommend them.
