Stephanie and jackme and my brother have been going there for about 3 years and we love it,its so much fun and everyone is so friendly.The horses are really nice and well looked after.Its the only place we've been so its obviously brilliant if where still there!

cookieI love coming horse riding here it is amazing ! I went to stephany bank stables for a lesson and it wasent good but then I tryed kenton riding school and have LOVED it ever since !

FunkyrabbitHi, i've been riding at kenton riding school for quite a long time now and i really enjoy it! I help out which is even better! Everyone is really friendly and you always feel welcome! I love all of the horses there all friendly! I've rode about 5 different horses but I think my favorite is Zac. I would defenitly recomened anyone looking to go riding, to try out kenton riding school!

capriceHi I've been ridin at this stables for 3 years with my friend Jess, I ride Rosie and Jess rides Dandy.I've also rode Candy, Dandy and there was a horse called Pippen but shes gone now.I really love this stable and I've also been to steppany bank stables but i prefer this one.It's great!!

I am 16 years old and have been going to Kenton Riding School for 5 years now. I have been helping there for 3 years and I really enjoy it.
We currently have 13 horses at the stables:
Perry, Barney, Lady, Danny, Melody, Holly, Coleen, Beach, Poppy, Dandy, Zack, Candy and Rosie (and two little jack russels; gemma and tizzy).
Me and my friends who voluntarily work at the stables are always there for anyone who wants to stay an extra hour before or after riding to teach them about looking after the horses; mucking out, feeding, tacking up etc. The advice is all free! (And if you decide so, you may even want to help us out and work voluntarily yourself. All you have to do is ask!)
The rides are really fun; we ride on nuns moor, going for canters, playing games/races and in the summer we have jumping lessons on Mondays. You can ride on weekends all throughout the year. Rides are only avaliable on weekdays in the summer. It is (at the moment) £11 for an hours hack on nuns moor and 50p to rent a riding hat.
The hours avaliable for riding on weekends are as follows:
Saturday & Sunday
9.30am-10.30am
10.30am-11.30am
11.30am-12.30am
2pm-3pm
3pm-4pm
4pm-5pm
For beginners:
When a beginner comes to the riding school, they are taught 1-1 from another person on a horse (beginner is on a leading rein) but they still go with the rest of the people booked in for a hack. Everyone stays together but more advanced riders are given the opportunity to go faster.
I highly recommend that you do try the lessons at Kenton Riding School as they are a lot of fun and they are one of the cheapest stables in the area (£11 for an hour).
Extra info:
Anyone wishing to participate in the riding lessons must be over 7 years old and must not weigh more that 14st. Everyone wishing to participate in the lessons, however, must wear a suitable riding boot/ wellington boot (anything flat with a one inch heel). YOU MUST NOT WEAR TRAINERS AS YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RIDE (due to health and safety reasons).

- sophie(12):hi, i live in the area and wanted to start riding and my six year old sister wanted to join to but as this reveiw states she can't. anyway my mam said i will only be able to do one hour a week and i dont know anyone there i think i will feel a bit arkward. i asked a couple of my friends if they would like to join with me and they seemed eager. anyway thanks for the reveiw might join soon and might even volentear.
- Charlie rode dandy:I come riding here on a Saturday half nine.my instructor is also called Charlie she's really nice and on my first lesson I rode dandy!
- caitlin: i used to go here but then i quit because i was on the lead rein for to long so i went to antother stables and i am good at riding now i jumping i have been to the beach on horses and done some shows i would love to come back because i love hacking out where i have lots of free space to canter and gallop around in and i love jumping i rember candy and melody i think the person who runs it is called jim i would love to come back here. :)
- caitlin : i am coming up this sunday (6th june) for a trial lesson with my sister we went to another stables and have been riding for lots and lots of years i dont know who i wil be on tho :)
