The organisation has many years experience delivering drug, alcohol and mental health services and an established network of service centres in London and the South East.
Detailed description:
Research is an important dimension of KCA’s drive to promote and share evidence based best practice. KCA's Director of Research, Neil Hunt, leads and advises on all research projects within the organisation. Neil also leads on the many clinical audits KCA's substance misuse services carry out each year. The Clinical Directors for both Psychological Therapies and Substance misuse also lead their teams in service specific research. This enables KCA to build and contribute to a body of original research which is then disseminated through our conference programme. We are also partners in the Conference Consortium, a unique collaboration of non-governmental organisations, trades unions, professional associations and national bodies, which is dedicated to organising conferences and other events promoting the adoption of the most appropriate, relevant and effective policies and practice, in response to the problems presented by drug and alcohol use. Our training and professional development team work closely with public, private and third sector employers to provide excellent training at all levels and to give staff the confidence to meet and address mental health and substance misuse issues arising through their work. If your work touches on Mental Health or Substance Misuse, we probably have a training module for you or, if we don't, we can create a bespoke training event to meet your specific needs. We offer both Open College Network training - which is a recognised accreditation - from entry level to level 3; and awareness training in a range of subjects for which you will receive a certifiicate upon completion. Our highly qualified Trainers will deliver personalised training on the day, and our fantastic back office team will liaise closely with you to ensure all training arrangements are faultless.
