Karen Livesey started making campaign films as a community worker in Edinburgh. Her skill in directing and cinematography is reflected in an award-winning track record, with a 2000 RTS award for factual student programme, a Chameleon TV award 2001 for innovative work and a publishing award from Pavillion Publishing for a ground breaking film made in a large psychiatric hospital in Scotland.
