Detailed description:
JTL was formed in 1989 by the Electrical Contractors' Association (ECA) and the Electrical Electronic and Plumbing Union (now Unite the Union) to manage training in the electrical sector. In 2000 JTL became a company limited by guarantee with charitable status. In 2001 the LSC and Association of Plumbing Contractors (APHC) approached JTL with a view to taking on plumbing apprentices and subsequently we grew significantly, expanding into a number of related areas. As a charitable organisation, all income not directly spent on running the business is reinvested in the provision, development and continuous improvement of JTL's service to the industry.
