Jonathan Brier Yachting’s RYA Solent Sailing School & Yacht Charter specialises in RYA Sailing Courses and Skippered Yacht Charter. As an RYA Recognised Training Centre we offer the full range of RYA courses from Start Yachting through to Yachtmaster.
With our relaxed, friendly and experienced approach we aim to deliver the very best sailing experience on the South Coast.
Whether you want to experience sailing on a yacht for the first time or develop your skills through to Yachtmaster, our carefully selected RYA qualified instructors deliver our courses with passion and care.
Based at Lymington Yacht Haven we enjoy easy access to the Western Solent, providing some of the finest sailing in UK waters and beyond.
Our Bavaria 38 cruising yacht 'Crews Control' offers both comfort and ease of use. Equipped to the highest standards and ideal for Charter, conforming to the MCA code to sail up to 60nm from a safe haven.

RYA Practical Sailing Courses - Jonathan Brier Yachting is recognised by the RYA to run the full range of sailing courses which are designed for people with mixed experience and are usually run over 5 days although long weekends are a possibility. They include formal tuition and, we hope, a good degree of fun. These courses can give you the opportunity to progress from absolute beginner to learning the advanced techniques of sailing, navigation and of course, safety. A typical week, weather conditions permitting, may involve nights in Cowes, Yarmouth, Portsmouth, Hamble and if conditions allow Poole.
Our yacht Crews Control offers comfort, fun, excitement and safety. The maximum number on board will be 5, however should you feel in need of more attention, or wish to sail with a smaller group, this can be arranged. Our carefully selected Instructors are all qualified to RYA Cruising Instructor as a minimum.
They will ensure that you are given every opportunity to achieve your goal. Consolidate on your course experience and build the miles.
