We are a small family business established in 1972, as a one man business, making wooden frames for chairs and sofas for the upholstery trade. In 1980 we had 10 employees and purchased more up-to-date machinery.
Detailed description:
We specialise in fully polished frames for chairs, sofas, stools and tables, for hospitals and nursing homes. Also stuffover frames for the upholstery trade. Today we are still a small family run business employing 10 fully skilled workmen.
Andrew Johnstone is the Production Manager, who has a background in engineering and specialises in Bespoke Furniture for Interior Designers. He also does all the prototype work for the business.
All the timbers used are from sustainable sources, English timbers are covered by the Forestry Commission and German timbers are covered by the equivalent European Body.
