Detailed description:
In 1952 - Mr Percy Parkin, Middx, opened the first Johnsons Shoes outlet in Teddington in March 1952, selling branded footwear.
1953 - The second branch in Twickenham opened
1956 - The present owner, Mr Graham Parkin, joined the family business, having completed a course at Cordwainers Shoe College followed by a period of time working in Lilley & Skinner, Oxford Street.
1958 - the expansion continued when the branch at East Sheen was acquired, followed shortly by the Walton on Thames branch.
1965 - Mr Percy Parkin died suddenly, and Mr Graham Parkin took over control of the Company.
1970 - Ashford branch was opened.
