Founded in the mid 1800’s, although its routes can be traced back over 160 years, Johns Slater and Haward remains an independent consultancy, based in Ipswich, Suffolk. Working on high profile projects in the industry with leading architects, designers, builders and contractors across all market sectors, our reputation for an innovative approach, backed up with strong delivery, underpins our ability to create long-standing relationships with our clients. Johns Slater and Haward undertakes projects ranging from small alterations to multi-million pound schemes, providing a full service to its clients, from feasibility stage through to detail design and subsequent site and contract administration.
In addition to new building work, Johns Slater and Haward has considerable experience in the restoration, adaptation and refurbishment of existing buildings particularly with respect to the extension, modification and replacement of existing services systems, and has extensive expertise in the field of energy conservation. The Practice subscribes to various technical support systems including ISH, the National Engineering Specification and Croner (H&S) Management of Construction Safety.
We don’t believe in putting our clients ‘in boxes’ each design solution is derived by the reflection of the clients' requirements. However, our extensive expertise allows us to work with clients who require guidance.
