Short profile:

There is a wide variety of activities available to pupils.  Extra curricular activities include sports, games and music. Pupils have the opportunity to travel overseas to places such as Spain.  A wide range of educational visits, for example to museums, are arranged and these broaden the pupils' perspectives.    A ten week literacy and numeracy programme, Playing for Success, was organised for Year 7 pupils with Tottenham Hotspur.  Pupils are also encouraged to participate in the Readathon.  The John Loughborough students participate in borough-wide debating competitions, in the London Enterprise Business Challenge.  The weekly Enrichment Programme offers a variety of non academic subjects to the pupils. However, we need to link this more closely to the pupils personal interests.  The Student Council takes an active part in the school life where it arranges such activities as end of term programmes, talent shows and organises collection for a charity. There is also a Pupil Interview Panel where pupils are given the opportunity to interview candidates for both teaching and non teaching posts as part of the interview process.
