Detailed description:
John carries a wide range of turning blanks in both native and exotic timbers as well as importing quality Australian Burrs.
As with most acrylics drill at slow speed. For best results use sharp tools, turn down to approximate finish size/shape – deep U shaped roughing gouge used for the majority of the turning of the illustrated pens. Final cuts done with a sharp skew chisel. Material responds well to abrasives used gently – examples taken down to 15000 grit then buffed using Tripoli, white Diamond and carnauba wax.
