At John Allan Aquariums we manufacture our entire pet, aquatic, reptile and small animal units in our own factories, therefore we are able to be as bespoke or standard as your requirements dictate.
We put a lot of thought into the design of our products. We consider the aesthetics and servicing of the display very carefully.
All our units are made to your specification from high quality anodised aluminium and are available in a wide range of colours (Corporate colour matching service) with all styles of filtration. Point of sale display information including header boards, end panels and fish labels are also available
We welcome enquiries equally from garden centres, independent retailers, schools, colleges, superstores and zoos through out the UK and Ireland.
Detailed description:
The company was founded in 1963 by John and Allan Riley making angle iron aquariums and hoods in their garage and garden shed. Demand for the products was so great that within nine months they moved to a new 2500sq. ft factory in Bury St Edmunds, where they were joined by their good friend John Ransom.
In July 1966 they met up with two brothers from Germany who were developing a new aquarium with an aluminum frame, anodised in a light bronze finish. At that point in time it was the most beautiful aquarium imaginable and it was aptly named 'The Juwel Aquarium’. A strong relationship developed and the two companies worked closely together for the next 30 years still maintaining links today.
In 1970 we were appointed UK distributors of Eheim power filters which are still an important part of our programme. We are also the UK service centre for repairs, spare parts and technical information.
Over the years our expertise and product range has gone from strength to strength and we are widely recognized as a leading name in Aquatics and Shopfitting.
Both John and Allan Riley are still actively involved in the company.
