Just OVER 8 years ago On a trip to Indonesia, the story of Jocasi took shape. We met a local Artisan who told us, over a few Bintang beers, a interesting interesting story...

It was regarding an iconic and practical style of bag which the local fisherman had been using for hundreds of years. Before motorbikes, and cars, they had to travel to the coast to go fishing, then bring their catch backin this specially designed bamboo bag called a KEPIS which, due to its boat shaped design, allowed the fish to be kept aired and fresh for their long arduous return journey.

With the help of our compadre, we adapted the shape using leather. On our return to our homecity, London, we took the bag, along with our other designs which had been selling in boutiques, to TOPSHOP Oxford Street. Arguably the No1 fashion store on the planet.
