About Us Jinty's was set up in 2009 by Janette Reed primarily as a vintage clothing repair and re-design service. In association with Jane Hammersley at Stitch in Time we aim to offer you a complete sewing, repair and design service which exceeds expectations and delights our clients. Janette graduated from university in 1998 with an honours degree in English and Applied studies. With a keen interest in fashion, art and design she spent 9 years developing her skills with a national clothing chain before deciding to set up her own clothing repair and re-design business in June 2009 - Jintys-Vintage. Serving both the retail vintage clothing trade and individual clients, Janette's mission is to breath new life into clothing from the past and create wearable, fashionable garments as an ethical alternative to the high street.
She also produces a range of individual hand-crafted garments creating bespoke fashion at high street prices. In 2010 Janette joined forces with local businesswoman Jane Hammersley. Jane is a graduate of the National Design Academy and a fully qualified curtains and soft furnishings specialist. Jane enjoys an excellent reputation for outstanding service and reliability which is demonstrated by the amount of repeat business she secures.
