JIM HASTINGS LTD

Jim Hastings Ltd was established on Tyneside by Jim Hastings in 1973 to service the construction industry, carrying out building and groundworks contracts for local authorities, The National Coal Board and The Central Electricity Generating Board, amongst others. Times have changed in recent years and with the disappearance of old customers like the NCB and the CEGB, the Company has concentrated on working for major contractors, carrying out groundwork packages on new office complexes, warehouses, supermarkets, sub stations and retail outlets. Along with environmental improvements schemes for various clients including the National Grid. The Company specialise predominantly in groundworks involving excavation and reinforced concrete foundations, floor slabs and drainage, kerbing and paving.

Building work projects involving refurbishment or upgrades of existing offices or factories and retail outlets. Working in an environment where public access has to be maintained is well within the Company's capabilities with experience being gained whilst working for major contractors at clients such as Tesco, Sainsbury, Somerfield, Kwik Save, Aldi and Wickes. Working on live sub-station sites to chemical production and storage plants is also well within the company's remit.

Work for the electrical industry has grown over the last few years and the company are involved in new sub station construction and works on existing sub station improvements for clients such as NEDL, National Grid, Siemens and Freedom.
