Why choose physiotherapy?

A Chartered Physiotherapist will work to identify and treat a variety of different physical complaints caused by injury, illness or ageing.

Musculoskeletal pain is common in the following three major groups of structures; Joints (including ligaments and bursa)

Muscles (including tendon tissue)

Nerves

During the assessment, all of these structures will be examined, in order to determine their relevance to the patients’ symptoms.

Depending on the diagnosis made, various interventions can be used, including manipulation, mobilisation and exercise therapy. Treatment is aimed at reducing pain and discomfort, increasing range of movement if required and ultimately restoring optimal function.
