Short profile:
A leading firm of solicitors in Northern Ireland specialising in Conveyancing, Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney, Criminal Law, matrimonial and litigation for clients in the UK and Ireland.
Murlands provide a wide range of services to local, national and multi-national business clients including advice on Commercial Contracts, Leases, Employment Legislation and Statutory Obligations. In addition we provide an efficient and important Debt Collection Service to many of our clients.
Many people do not make a Will. This can lead in many circumstances to serious family strife and taxation problems after death with valued possessions perhaps having to be sold as a result.
Very often the making of a Will can prevent such problems arising and ensure that the persons responsible for distributing your estate and caring for any young children are chosen by yourself.
Contrary to popular opinion it is generally inexpensive and need not necessarily take a very long time.
Detailed description:
Founded in 1832 in Downpatrick as James Murland & Company, Murlands is one of the leading and longest established Legal Practices in Northern Ireland. From those early beginnings further offices were established in Ballynahinch and later in Carryduff, as a result of which the firm has emerged as one of the largest and most respected legal practices in Northern Ireland. What was once a locally based practice is now a progressive firm with Private and Corporate clients throughout the United Kingdom and Republic of Ireland.
Our well established commitment to the provision of a readily accessible and comprehensive range of legal services to private, commercial and corporate clients throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland is further emphasised by the continuing development of our practice through increased computerisation and use of modern information technology including e-mail and the Internet. As well as growing in terms of pure size the firm has expanded its services to cover all the requirements of the modern day family and business.
At Murlands we are totally committed to satisfying the needs of our clients and this has always been an important feature of our work. Not only are we committed to providing accurate legal advice but we constantly strive to provide practical solutions for our clients at all times.
We recognise, of course, that most people only consult a Solicitor a few times during their lifetime. We believe however that there are many occasions when we could be of assistance to potential clients in various circumstances but are unable to help because people may not be aware of the wide spectrum of advice which we can provide and therefore do not consult with us. This site indicates the services which we offer and provides a ready reference and ease of access for use, when required.
