Short profile:
We are working with young people so they are aware of the dangers and repercussions associated with knives. We have police officers based in all senior schools and PCSOs attached to all primary schools. These Safer Schools Officers educate pupils about the dangers of knives through lessons and innovative projects, and stop and search pupils whenever necessary.
Detailed description:
Islington Borough has, over several years, earned an enviable reputation for solving crime. 2010/11 has once again seen Islington Police secure one of the most impressive performances for several crime types including robbery, rape, domestic violence, burglary, motor vehicle crime and violent crime.
