Short profile:

A range of visits and visitors help to ensure we offer a broad, balanced and stimulating curriculum, for example, Scientists from Cambridge University work alongside our older children on science days, the children visit numerous places such as Wicken Fen, the Botanic Gardens, and Ely Cathedral. We offer all Y5 & Y6 children the opportunity to take part in a residential visit to Norfolk where they enjoy orienteering and adventure days.

We teach French and learn about French culture in all classes from Y1 to Y6.

Our children have swimming lessons in our heated, covered learner pool and through our Swimming Pool Association can enjoy after school and holiday sessions.

There is an expanding programme of lunchtime and after school clubs, with many clubs being run by volunteers. All pupils are given the opportunity to appear in high quality drama productions.We have a thriving brass band and give regular recorder recitals. 

Y6 are taught the Safer Cycling programme.

'There are many opportunities for pupils to take responsibility and this leads to them having a high regard for the importance of the community.'  Ofsted 06.

Children enjoy events run by the PTA such as the Christmas bazaar and annual village pantomime.
