ISEBROOK HOSPITAL

Some of the main services currently based at Isebrook include the following:

Hazelwood Ward which provides rehabilitation for 34 elderly patients in the north of the county. The service aims to assist patients who are recovering from a physical illness to achieve their maximum independence through specific treatments and therapy using a multi-professional approach.

Beechwood Rehabilitation Unit which offers a countywide service for adult patients requiring rehabilitation primarily for neurological and traumatic brain injury conditions. The service offers an opportunity for the patient to work towards independence, choice and control during their inpatient stay.

The Howard Johnson Day Rehabilitation Unit which covers the Wellingborough and East Northamptonshire area, provides a holistic interdisciplinary approach. Services include rehabilitation for adults with complex newly-acquired conditions, adults with non-acute problems associated with long-term conditions, and falls prevention courses. Physical rehabilitation courses are based on the clinical need of the patient. Diabetic Retinal Screening service - one of the eight sites that provides this across the county.

The Falls Service (North) through assessment, treatment and close working with other agencies can help improve independence following a fall.
