Short profile:

Irton Hall is a stunning holiday location with impressive history, set in the foothills of the Western fells of the Lake District between Wasdale and Eskdale. Parts of the magnificent hall, such as the Pele Tower, date from the 14th century.

The Pele Tower (Sleeps 16) creates a totally unique holiday venue on four floors featuring spacious rooms with beams, sandstone walls and an original stone spiral staircase from top to bottom of the tower. The third floor family bedroom and en-suite are accessed via this spiral staircase; the other floors have additional standard staircase access, whilst the first floor living room has a leisure area with pool table.

Detailed description:

Broughton House (Sleeps 14) forms the west wing of Irton Hall, where spacious elegant rooms, chandeliers and a grand staircase with stained glass windows make this a dream holiday venue. A pool table in the living room and wi-fi access enhance the excellent facilities available.

Copeland House (Sleeps 9) is the centre section of the hall, next to the original Pele Tower, and what was once an 18th century ballroom is now the very spacious living/dining room. The marble floors, tall ceilings and chandeliers create an opulent holiday environment.

The Clock Tower (Sleeps 10) is a wonderful original stone detached building behind the main hall with a modern interior, including 4 shower rooms and a spacious family living area with patio doors opening onto a private decked area.

Set beside the main hall, Lamplugh House (sleeps 8) is a delightful, semi-detached holiday cottage with spacious rooms looking out over grounds, having its own private sitting-out area and freedom to roam the nature trails within the woods.
