INTILE

INTILE can supply and install all types of Wall Tile, the choice is yours, and there are hundreds to choose from.

In the sixties and early seventies, we would install 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" in the Bathroom and 6" x 6" in the Kitchen, now it is, most of the time 100mm x 100mm in the Kitchen and Large Format in the Bathroom. There is a trend to install Large Marble or Porcelain in Bathroom and Shower areas, this is fine if the background can take the weight, a good rendered wall is the best, but most are plasterboard. Manufacturers are starting to make their tiles thinner to overcome this problem, making porcelain tiles as thin as 4mm.

Wall Tiles now do not have glazed edges any more, so now we use Tile Trim, comes in plastic and metal, metal we think is fine, but plastic, we dislike the stuff, we have read somewhere, think it is from a tile installer in Australia, where they mitre the tiles, a much better result. Well that's enough of that we will get off our soapbox.

We can also supply and install all many flooring products, from, Ceramic, Marble, Porcelain, Limestone, Mosaic, Quarry.

In 1975 we installed Hawkins Quarries at the Civic Centre in Aylesbury, and which will soon be pulled down.

We screeded all the falls and slopes, and then laid the tiles, which were bedded into the sand and cement screed, and finished with sand/cement grout.
