The Institute of Brewing & Distilling (IBD) is a members organisation dedicated to the education and training needs of brewers & distillers and those in related industries. We do this by offering a range of internationally recognised qualifications and the training to support them, either through direct instruction or distance learning. We communicate with our members via a monthly members magazine The Brewer & Distiller International, and offer original scientific research papers through the Journal of the Institute of Brewing (JIB), which is available quarterly on-line and in paper format. These publications are also available at a cost to non-members, by request to our Registrar.
Detailed description:
The Journal Our quarterly scientific publication containing original research abstracts is avaialble to all members online via our website, or in paper form if you would prefer. The Journal of the Institute of Brewing & Distilling publishes original scientific papers relative to the brewing, distilling and fermentation industries, and their raw materials and by-products. Papers are drawn from universities, research institutes and industrial laboratories worldwide. Each paper published is reviewed before acceptance by an International Editorial Board. Temporary free public access to both abstracts and full papers All submissions are sent to two expert reviewers for assessment with due consideration to confidentiality. Every issue contains abstracts of articles published internationally in the fields of brewing and fermentation.
Four issues are published each year, together with an annual index. Meeting Room Facilities The Institute of Brewing and Distilling is proud to announce that we can now provide two fully operational meeting and training facilities to both internal and external customers at our Headquarters, based on 33 Clarges Street, Green Park, London. Our office is situated in the heart of Mayfair and within a short walking distance from Green Park, Piccadilly Circus, Bond Street and Oxford Circus Underground Stations. The below meeting rooms opening times are 09:00 until 17:00 and can be booked by members and non-members. Please see below the rooms we have available for you too hire.
