Our lead Advanced Practitioner Sonographer, Mrs Jayne Collings, MHSc (Medical Ultrasound), BSc (Hons) has a decades worth of experience in obstetrics, gynaecology, abdominal and small parts ultrasound and works for the local NHS. Jayne is also very experienced in 3D/4D baby scans. We use top of the range ultrasound scanning equipment, GE Voluson 730 Expert which is equipped with 3D/4D scanning capability. We accept referrals from your doctor, non-medically qualified referrers and self referrals for all ultrasound scans. The non-medically qualified referrers are required to be adequately trained and competent to refer and provided that there are local agreements and protocols in place.

We have strict procedures and protocols in place to ensure safe working practice and use the ALARA principle (as low as reasonably achievable). At Insight Medical Ultrasound our aim is to capture those special once in a lifetime moments of your baby in its own environment and to help reassure you. We have the time to spend with you and your partner or family and friends, nothing is too much for us, we understand your excitement. Nothing gives us more pleasure than to share this exciting and precious moment with you, and to see the look on your face when you see your little ones features and expressions, whether they are yawning, smiling, having a look around or just looking content asleep.

We pride ourselves on bringing you all this using a top of the range ultrasound machine, the Voluson 730 expert by GE who are the leaders in 3D/4D ultrasound technology. You will even be amazed at the quality of the 2D black and white images it produces. We don’t offer set packages, so that you are not paying for something that you don’t really want, but you have to have it because it is part of that package. We give you the freedom to choose the things you specifically want to take away with you as a lasting keepsake.
