Ingatestone Saddlery Centre - Winner Mailorder/Internet Retailer of the year 2010, Large Retailer of the Year 2009 runner up. Established in 1974 as B & J Saddlery by Barrie & Lynda Mortlock, our first shop was situated in the centre of Ingatestone village. During this time our trade stand was attending major events throughout the UK.

When we moved to larger premises in 1983 we renamed our business Ingatestone Saddlery Centre. We continued to exhibit at shows until 1998 when we decided to enlarge our shop and concentrate on our core business. Within 2 years we were searching once again for larger premises and in March 2001 moved into our present location at Margaretting. We are situated in an enviable position at the junction of the A12/A414 on the B1002 with car parking for in excess of 200 cars and with easy access for horseboxes and trailers. Two years after our move, an all-weather outdoor ménage was installed to improve the facilities for saddle fitting.
Our saddle manager Roger, having a wealth of experience in all aspects of saddle manufacture, repair & fitting, is happy to fit on site or in the comfort of your own surroundings. In 2005 a purpose built feed barn was built and we can now offer a wide choice of feed at competitive prices. The product range of feed is growing all the time. This cash & carry service is a phenomenal success with our regular customers.
