Short profile:

Studies estimate that 1 in 6 couples seek specialist help in trying for a child. Yet, despite the high numbers involved, many couples find that no one else seems to understand their situation and experience isolation and loneliness. Infertility Network UK is committed to providing a comprehensive support network to its members and to all those affected by infertility by actively promoting Infertility Network UK services. As well as providing authoritative information and practical and emotional support, it is Infertility Network UK's mission to raise the profile and understanding of infertility issues in all quarters and to strive for timely and consistent provision of infertility care throughout the UK.

Detailed description:

At Infertility Network UK we aim to ease the feelings of isolation on both an emotional and practical level. Members of Infertility Network UK often tell us that using our services helps them to cope. “It has helped me to feel ‘normal’ again when I know others feel as I do. I have found it makes me more positive” We are open to anyone from the day they first think they may have a fertility problem, through investigations, treatment and beyond.

We also provide help and support to those ending treatment and those facing involuntary childlessness through our More to Life network. As well as providing these essential services, Infertility Network UK represents patient views throughout the field of infertility. We work closely with all the relevant professional bodies including The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority, The British Fertility Society, The Fertility Nurses Group, The Department of Health and many more.

Our interaction with these organisations helps ensure that patients have a voice that is clearly heard. We offer help and support to everyone, and if you join us, we can provide a wider range of services which will help you make informed decisions. We understand what you are going through, and can offer practical and emotional support.
