CGI Birmingham missed my Biometric card :-(

by on 09 September 2014

Worst service I ever faced in my life. i'm giving 1 rating since there is no option for 0 rating. I applied for the passport renewal in CGI Birmingham by using postal application. I sent my passport Biometric card, supporting documents, return envelope along with my initial application. But I got call from then said I didn’t send my return envelope . I sent another return envelope to CGI Birmingham. Finally you have used initial return envelope to return my passport and other documents But my visa(BRP card) is missed. They are not ready to agree that they have missed. As per their website passport renewal process is one month time but they took 85 days time to get my documents(without Biometric card) back.

As a member of staff at CGI birmingham I too am shocked and appalled by the behaviour and conduct in which cgi is run. Phone calls and emails are ignored, documents lost due to inadequate working conditions, the list could go on

As a member of staff working within the consulate overall I think its conduct/procedures and environment is an absolute disgrace!! I empathise with the many applicants CGI birmingham deals with. It requires a serious makeover for things to improve. Complaints arent taken seriously, phon

I don't think this will help but just to vent my frustration. I have been trying to get in touch with CGI staff to get a status on my daughter's passport. It has been such a struggle!! no one picks up the phone

Service and conditions at CGI, Birmingham: - So ill-organised. Whole thing is so chaotic - Employees are so rude and I don’t think they have any training at all - Employees teat people like they are not humans - I am not sure if that building follows any UK’s health and safety rules - Last but not least. Facilities are SHOCKING. Particularly toilets

Everything about the Consulate Services in Birmingham is extremely poor; staff are not only rude they are actually very unhelpful considering they are employed to help the public. Spare a thought for the public who telephones the office for clarification and information; either the phone is not answered or when answered the query is not entertained. Massive training programme is required for the staff.

Disgraceful service. Shocked to find that they actually represent a country! Every aspect needs improving with shockingly poor communication that is totally unacceptable from such a body. My rating is over rated and I would in fact rate it 0 if it were possible.

Re-issue of passport

by on 08 March 2013

Sent expired passport and relevant documents to general consulate of India in Birmingham, asked for several other proof documents besides those listed on their website and claimed that expired passport not received even though it was sent with all other documents in same envelope which they had obviously received as it was all sent back a week later for re-submission. I have renewed my Indian passport 3 times as I have been here for over 45 years but this time the consulate in Birmingham have created so many problems. Been waiting for 7 months but still no idea as to what is happening with my re-issue application, impossible to contact them, terrible terrible service...
