ILLUMINA LIGHTING & INTERIORS

Illumina was created by interior designer Claire Pendarves and first opened its doors in May 2005. A lighting and interiors shop with a difference, our first aim is to inspire our visitors with different elements of lighting with mainly Contemporary Lighting from architectural through to candle light - and every light displayed has been carefully chosen with a particular purpose in mind. Here lighting overlaps with interior design as we strongly feel that both of these elements need to marry as a whole. This is where our expertise can help, whether it is sourcing classical light fittings for a Georgian home or specifying robust exterior lighting for a Cornish garden we will take the time to advise you on the best products for the job in hand. As well as lighting we sell accessories, many of which revolve around the subject of lighting. Furniture such as Allinwood from Sweden and Lloyd Loom from Vincent Sheppard, chunky oak tables in various finishes from Poland as well as select pieces from favourite suppliers. We also stock a range of fabric and wallpaper books from our favourite houses such as Neisha Crosland, Allegra Hicks, Borderline, Cole & Son, Rapture and Wright, Celia Birtwell and several more - not a vast range but selected because we personally like them as well as being slightly more unusual. Whether you are coming to the shop to select a Desk Light, a series of Wall Lights of Ceiling Lights or to choose an entire scheme for a new house we will take the time to help or, if you prefer, leave you to browse with a cup of coffee to hand.
