ILFRACOMBE YACHT CLUB

Updated more than 6 months ago

Short profile:

ILFRACOMBE is well known as a Victorian seaside town but the Yacht Club was only formed in 1962 by a small group of like-minded individuals, to promote the art of sailing and motor cruising in the Bristol Channel. IYC offers a full program of sailing and social events for members and non-members, locals or visitors to the area, and you are assured of a warm welcome whether arriving by land or by sea!

Detailed description:

The Ilfracombe Yacht Club is justly proud of its reputation within the Bristol Channel Yachting Conference as one of the most friendly yacht clubs in the Bristol Channel; a chair lift has recently been installed to improve accessibility even further. Ilfracombe Yacht Club is always pleased to welcome visiting yachts and provides a lounge, changing rooms for men and women, toilets and showers and a telephone. The bar is open every night and there’s normally somebody around to offer help and assistance ... and a smile !
